About

I am a native Buffalonian and received a B.F.A. in painting from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo and worked in acrylics and oils, concentrating on color and texture. When arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome made painting difficult, I began experimenting with photography. Influenced by Georgia O'Keeffe. I traveled to New Mexico and photographed the geological and architectural features of the formations in the Southwest and found similarities to the old grain elevators and crumbling buildings of Buffalo.

I approach my photographs like paintings, emphasizing color, form and textures. And I have come full circle back to Georgia in many of my flower photographs.
